Oh no, I'm sorry. I know the pain of not knowing. My dog ran away several months ago and I feared for her safety for a week. I ended up getting her back but had to put her to sleep this morning due to health problems.
It hurts. She wasn't a candidate for surgery and I couldn't take the chance on her suffering because I spend so much time at work.
We've had the debate of whether to keep the cat indoors or to let it roam and be happy. Be a cat. We almost always let them roam but sometimes it isn't the safest choice.
